Key Features of AI Max

 Search Term Matching

This feature builds on existing keywords by using broad match and keyword less technology to find more relevant and high-performing search terms. Google AI learns from the current keywords, ad content, and website links to help advertisers appear in more relevant searches. At the same time, it keeps using the same keyword priority system already used in Search and Performance Max campaigns.

Deliver Relevant Ads Across Surfaces

The “asset optimization” panel now includes text customization (previously called “automatically created assets”). It creates new headlines and descriptions by using information from your landing pages, ads, and keywords. AI Max also introduces new controls that provide the precision previously achieved through keywords:

  • New URL parameter: Offers improved insight into search terms across all match types, helping you optimize landing pages instantly.

Upcoming reporting updates will include showing headlines and URLs in the search terms report. Asset reports will also be improved to show how they perform based on key results like spend and conversions, not just views. Advertisers will be able to remove auto-generated assets and choose where to send customers using URL controls.
