YouTube Expands Voice Replies, Adds Shorts Quiz Sticker

YouTube Expands Voice Replies, Adds Shorts Quiz Sticker

YouTube now has a new quiz sticker for Shorts, and it’s also expanding the use of voice replies on clips, giving viewers another way to interact. First, YouTube is letting creators add a quiz sticker to their Shorts. This new sticker lets you ask your viewers a question, which you can customize to fit your video.

With this new one-click quiz sticker, creators can test their audience’s knowledge and see if they understand a certain topic. This can help inspire ideas for future videos. Creators can use it to quiz viewers about a recent topic, explore something more specific, or just add some fun to their content. They’ll also be able to see how many people answered and what percentage chose each option.

This new feature could help boost engagement and build a stronger community. Brands might also use it to highlight key product features. In addition, YouTube is now expanding voice replies to Android users. This feature was first available to some iOS creators in December last year, and now more people can use voice responses in Shorts.

Voice replies let creators respond to comments using an audio clip. If a creator has this feature, they’ll see a sound wave icon when replying to a comment. By tapping the icon, they can record a voice message and post it as a reply. It’s also worth mentioning that creators can already reply with a Short video, so this isn’t a major new feature, but voice replies do add a more personal feel, which could help boost audience engagement.

YouTube says voice replies are currently available to a small group of Android testers, with plans to expand the feature more widely. If you’re part of the test group and want to try it out, open the YouTube app, go to one of your videos, find a comment you want to reply to, tap Reply, and then tap the sound wave icon to record and post a voice reply. Even though only the test group can post voice replies for now, all users on YouTube can see and interact with them.

YouTube is also now giving all creators access to its Shorts visual guide tools. These tools show where UI buttons will appear on the screen when your video is played in the app. This helps you avoid placing important text or visuals where they might be blocked.
