Google is looking at a new AI-powered feature for Chrome called “Store Reviews” that will allow users to summarize reviews from independent websites like Trust Pilot, Scam Advisor, and more.
The upcoming feature can be accessed from the site settings button which appears to the left of the URL in the address bar. It looks like the functionality is still under development as clicking on it opens a blank floating panel with text on the bottom that says Chrome will use AI to generate a summary of the website’s reputation from independent platforms like Trust Pilot, Scam Advisor, Google, and more.
This is really useful if you’re visiting a new or unfamiliar website and want to quickly check if it’s trustworthy. It’s faster than looking through several review websites to find the overall reputation of the site, helping you save a lot of time.
In addition to checking a website’s trustworthiness, Google adds new AI features, like AI-powered protection. This feature gives real-time protection against possibly harmful websites and files you download.
