Introducing Reddit Answers: A Smarter Way to Find What You Need

What is Reddit Answers?

Reddit has started testing a new feature called “Reddit Answers.” It is designed to make finding information on the platform quicker and easier. Instead of scrolling through long threads, users get a short summary that pulls together the most helpful replies, opinions, and suggestions from different communities. Each summary links back to the original posts and subreddits, so you can dive deeper if you want more detail. The feature is still in beta and, for now, only available to a limited number of users in certain regions.

Answers is currently available in beta on desktop, iOS, and Android for redditors in Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with support for English.

Redditors can use Reddit replies, a new AI-powered conversational interface, to ask questions and receive replies.  When a question is posed, curated summaries of relevant conversations and details from Reddit show, along with connections to connected communities and posts. Redditors can quickly read relevant snippets and responses inline from real redditors, jump into entire conversations, and delve deeper into their search with their own or suggested follow-up questions.

People understand that Reddit contains answers, advice, and viewpoints on practically anything they’re looking for, and AI-powered search is part of our long-term goal of improving the Reddit search experience by making it faster, smarter, and more relevant.

Reddit Answers is presently being rolled out to a limited number of users in the United States, with support in English, we intend to expand to other languages and places in the future.

Reddit Answers is a big step toward making the platform easier to use. By combining AI with real conversations from the community, it gives users quick insights while still pointing them to the full discussions. It’s still in beta, but it shows how finding helpful information on Reddit could soon become faster and more engaging.
